An internationally acclaimed photographer and one of the most successful surf photographers in the world, Aaron Chang has more than 100 magazine covers to his name. His photos have been published internationally in dozens of magazines such as Sports Illustrated, GQ, Newsweek and Elle. Chang was the senior staff photographer at Surfing Magazine from 1979-1996. In 1994 Chang launched Aaron Chang Clothing, a line of photo inspired products. He currently owns the Aaron Chang Ocean Art gallery in Solana Beach, CA.
On a recent visit to CSM, Chang mentioned that he has kept every water housing he ever used. We thought the housings would make a fascinating display and invited Chang to speak about them and his life in surf photography. The evening will include a meet and greet, a seated talk about the history of his camera water housings, and a question and answer period. The housings will be on display from March 31st, 2012-January 2013.
Cost: $5 for members of CSM, $10 for non-members
Beer, wine, and waters will be available for suggested donation. Light snacks will be provided.
